There is a great need for St. Mary Laetitia School. The nation of Uganda, in East Africa, is very young. It has a population of over 48 million, and according to a recent census, 69% of the population is 25 years old or younger.

Therefore, the necessity for solid educational structures in the moral and cultural formation of Ugandan youth is a paramount need. This is especially true for Ugandan high school students since many of them will not be able to attend college, and their high school education will be their final formal education.
